My work at Anything Printed including a range of projects from flyers and posters to brochures, business cards and even books. These were often small personal projects for local residents, but it was essential to capture the feelings that inspired such projects. For Women’s Revolution, the book is actually originally an essay by Abdullah Öcalan. The client felt the essay was important to share and had obtained permission to make printed copies of the English translation. He asked that I design a cover that suited the material of the essay for US audiences. I sourced royalty-free artwork from Unsplash to assist in designing a work representative of the topic on their limited budget.

For the second book design, this client had written many poems and wanted to collect all of them into a single book. The cover photo was supplied by the client which I felt conveyed a feeling of whimsy and appreciation for nature, so I worked with those thoughts to typeset the poems in a way that would evoke these feelings from the reader as well.
